Podcast Interview on Freedom from Conflict

Independence Day is right around the corner here in the U.S., and I’ve been thinking a lot about the last line of our national anthem. We sing: “the land of the free and the home of the brave.” It takes courage — bravery — to become free. It takes the same courage to free yourself from an oppressive monarchy or an oppressive social system as it does to free yourself from conflict with others in your life or to free yourself from the shackles of your own making— from conflict inside yourself.
In a recent podcast interview with the GDA Speakers series, I talk about how to free yourself and others from conflict. I discuss how shadow values — things we care about but have trouble admitting we care about— get in our way and how we can use them to free ourselves, as well as how my grandmother’s stories freed her from the challenges of her life’s adventure.
I’d love to be in conversation with you about this—conflict and freedom and everything in between. Please let me know what this sparks for you.
